Welcome to the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, located at 201 South Walnut Street, Martinsburg, Pa.
We are so glad you have chosen to visit the site! We know you will find the recreational activity you are looking for!

We would love for you to take a moment and check out all that the Morrison’s Cove Memorial Park has to offer.

As soon as you see the park grounds you can see the first reason families, especially children, love to come to our park on nice days, evenings, and weekends. There is an all access play ground that has a huge wooden castle built with steps, slides and bridges to help kids can explore their imaginations while they play in the sand dunes, swing sets, monkey bars, tire swing and then relax on the benches that are provided. The park is also a non-smoking area to protect our patrons.  The Hershberger Memorial Pool is open for those hot summer days!  Come take a dip and enjoy our waterslides and diving area or sit under the shade sails and let your little ones play in the wading pool.  We have many pavilions that are perfect for a family get together or a company picnic.  Our outdoor basketball courts are a hit with the teens and even the men and women as they prove who play the best!

Inside the Park building you will discover many more things to do.  The Huntsman Bowling Center has open bowling times as well as league times.  The Zack Hinish Multi-Purpose gymnasium can be rented out for skating parties, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, roller hockey, soccer and much more!  The Ken and Gladys Weaver Event Center is a beautifully decorated room that can hold approximately 250 people.  It is the perfect setting for a glamorous wedding or a large business meeting.  The Martinsburg Community Library is on the lower level of the building and has wonderful programming for both young and old.  The lower level also houses a small conference room perfect for small meetings or even a birthday party!

For any general park information or to make any reservations please contact our office secretary, Mary Beth Foor, at 814-793-2176 ext. 21 or email her at office@mcmp.org.

We would like to  thank all of the businesses and individuals that have generously helped keep our park alive! Your continued support allows us to offer the many oppurtunities that the park provides to the families and all members of our community! We have been blessed with a great year and are excited about the future opportunities to come! We appreciate and thank you all!!

The Park was founded in 1915, when a group attending the Brown family picnic decided the area called Snyder’s Grove would be a beautiful place for a park. Then in 1921, the Park elected its first Board of Directors and in 1922, the park was officially incorporated and dedicated, “To commemorate the valor and heroic deeds of the brave soldiers of Morrisons Cove of all the wars in which the United States has participated, and to provide a public center for civic and moral instruction, recreation, amusement and promotion of athletic sports for all the people of Morrisons Cove.”

In 1934, a multipurpose facility was erected to accompany indoor activities. The Morrison’s Cove Memorial park continued to grow over the years and in 1979 the facility was razed and the present recreational community complex was erected. The Park is a non-profit (501 C-3) corporation that is supported only by the hard work and financial generosity of the community.
